I love you like the mountains love the sky,
Their ancient peaks reaching ever high.
Like rivers surrendering their silver streams,
To oceans that cradle their wandering dreams.
I love you like wildflowers love the rain,
Like forests awakening to spring again.
Like granite remembering the passage of time,
And the stars holding heaven in patterns sublime.
I love you like the redwoods embrace the earth,
Their roots entwined since birth.
Like the moon draws the tides to a distant shore,
I love you today, tomorrow, and more.
I love you beyond what the heavens can hold,
Beyond every story the mountains have told.
And if I had a thousand lifetimes to live,
My heart would still be yours to give.
